Botox cosmetic face injection works by using a toxin called botulinum toxin to block nerve muscles responsible for forming wrinkles. When injected into the treatment area, the facial muscles start to relax and soften. The lack of muscle movement prevents wrinkles from appearing. This temporarily lasts from 3-6 months after the procedure. Results can start to show anywhere between 3 to 5 days, with full effects showing around 10 days.
